Sabres In Driver Seat For Atlantic Division Title
I don’t want to get ahead of myself; however, the Sabres still have a good chance to win the Atlantic Division. They currently sit in first place in the division with a record of 49-23-8 (106 points) and two games remaining in the 2025-26 regular season.
They’re in a three-team race for the division title, and there is a realistic chance that they could end up with the division title. They control their own destiny, which means all the Sabres have to do is win their last two games, and they win the division, even if the Montreal Canadiens and Tampa Bay Lightning win both of their last two games remaining.
The Sabres also have the tiebreaker over the Lightning and Canadiens due to having more regulation wins.
Playoff Tickets Go on Sale Monday Morning
The Sabres announced on Friday, April 10, that single playoff game tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday, April 13, at 10 am ET. The tickets are expected to sell out quickly due to a very high demand and, obviously, a limited inventory.

Fans can buy tickets for up to four games in the first round of the playoffs and are limited to two tickets per game. The Sabres themselves recommended using Ticketmaster for all ticket purchases, as it is the only verified marketplace for Sabres tickets.
For those who do not secure playoff tickets, there will be a Sabrehood block party held during every playoff home game. Each party is free to attend, and there will be a pregame party in the plaza, followed by a watchalong at Canalsaide in downtown Buffalo.
Injury Updates
Alex Lyon left practice on April 8 due to straining a lower-body muscle. Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff said there is a “possibility” that Lyon is unavailable for the start of the playoffs.
Sam Carrick, who has been one of the best trade-deadline acquisitions in the league, is still listed as week-to-week. Ruff confirmed on Thursday that he won’t be ready for Game 1 of the playoffs, but he still holds out hope that he will be able to return at some point during the playoffs.
Noah Ostlund has been out of the lineup since March 25 and is still dealing with an upper-body injury suffered against the Boston Bruins. He has been skating on his own, and Ruff is hopeful that he could be ready for the playoffs if the pain is manageable.
Jiri Kulich has missed the majority of the season due to a blood clot that the team announced on Nov. 10. He has continued non-contact skating; however, he is expected to miss the remainder of the season.
Justin Danforth left their game on Oct. 15 with a lower-body injury and later underwent surgery. He’s been skating over the last two months, but he is still dealing with some pain from the injury.
