by Marcelo Moreira

Here is the latest news and updates around the Buffalo Sabres and their schedule for the week of March 23-31, 2026.

Sabres Continue Road Dominance

The Sabres have been one of the best teams on the road over the last little while. They just finished up their West Coast road trip with a record of 3-0-1. They defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 4-0 on March 17, the San Jose Sharks 5-0 on March 19, the LA Kings 4-1 on March 20, and lost in overtime 6-5 to the Anaheim Ducks on March 22. Over those three games, the Sabres scored 13 goals and only allowed one; Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen with the shutout against the Golden Knights and Alex Lyon with the shutout against the Sharks.

It’s not just the road trip they’ve been dominant on. Over their last 24 road games, they have a record of 20-2-2. That’s not only dominant, but that’s also a historic run they’re on.

Now, if you cherry-pick stats a little bit, the 2025-26 Sabres over their last 40 games have a record of 32-6-2, which is the best 40-game stretch since the 1995-96 Detroit Red Wings.
