The Rockets aren’t a team you want to be facing with anything less than full focus, with Houston at 38-23 toward the top of the Western Conference standings. Houston defeated Portland, 140-116, at home in their first meeting in Texas this season, and the Rockets have won three of their last four against Portland in Houston. Portland is 1-2 over its last three games, with its only win coming against a depleted Grizzlies team. The Rockets are coming off a 115-113 loss to the Warriors on Thursday, which could result in them playing even more motivated in the second half of a back-to-back, rather than easing in off victory. Miami (OH) will be highly motivated to be the only undefeated team in Division I men’s basketball when the RedHawks take the floor on Friday in their final MAC game of the season. Miami (OH) is 30-0 overall and 17-0 in the MAC, while Ohio is 15-15 overall and 9-8 in the conference. The RedHawks defeated Ohio, 90-74, on Feb. 13. Five of the RedHawks’ last seven wins have come by at least 5.5 points. They are 10-3 against the spread on the road heading into this matchup at Ohio, which has lost back-to-back games by at least 12 points.
